The return of Porter Jones
Nine Part story written by Doive (Age 9)

Part Eight

"That's not land, it's a Space ship!” said Porter

"A what?” exclaimed Stephanie and Michael together. The space ship rose from the waves and hovered over the boat and a noise came from inside ,then a message in English was heard. It said:

"Hello Earthling's what are you doing out here in the sea?"

"Hello Strange Creature, We are in trouble from the English Primeminster," said Porter.

"You haven't much food or fuel left I will help ... you Porter ...Stephanie ...and Michael, I will give you a bigger boat and plentiful supplies I will also make the police ...and John Major forget about you ,No one will chase you now ... Aurevoir ... Bye ...!"It said and as it zoomed off ,The speed boat turned into a Ship with millions of pounds\par worth of food aboard .The problem now was where were they , and why did the alien craft help them?

"How did he know our names?” asked Porter curiously.

"How did he give us this boat and the food?” asked Stephanie

"Why does it matter we're home free!” said Michael.

"Oh ,no we're not we don't know where we are!” said Stephanie

The kids played and ate on the ship until one day they saw something was wrong. The ship had hit something and was sinking, slowly!. The weather here was really cold and the water surrounding them was almost frozen. There food supply was running out and they had to ration themselves .As the water grew ever colder it prevented the ship from sinking because it froze. The water all around the ship was ice and thick enough to walk on.

"We'll have to abandon ship and search although we don't stand much of a chance out there” said Porter and so the took the remains of the food and drink and wandered the Ice .Day upon day they walked until they were down to the last packet of biscuits. Eventually they came upon an old abandoned ship and found enough ration's aboard to survive. They wandered further and further until they could walk no more. The kid's were freezing to death and by now had guessed that they were in the Arctic Circle somewhere. They pushed themselves on until one day the saw on the horizon grass they had walked to yet another country. Which one? they didn't know .

"GRASS! ,WE'RE LEAVING THE COLD NORTH!," screamed Stephanie. With that she got up and ran to the grass, Michael and Porter ran after her. The ice below there feet began to crack and Porter and Michael were on a small lump of ice.

"The Ice is melting!," screamed Michael ...
